Stand still. He’s on the way. He is the Way.

"God's going to meet you right where you are. Truth is we all need God, and all He wants you to do is trust Him - right here, right now. He's going to meet you right where you are," her eyes are full of hope, a glimmer of light dances around her. "All you need to know is He is who He says He is. He's your Father and He loves you." Unnatural Love

Joanie Brusseau's life was hopeless. She suffered with mental illness resulting from childhood sexual abuse, was addicted to drugs, lost her family and had just broken her cardinal rule, a life was lost as a result. This is where God met her and gave her hope through a stranger sitting next to her on a bus. Joanie knew that she was a sinner, that wasn't in question; but she never knew before that Jesus died to pay for all those sins, and God loved her so much He'd made that happen.

This is the gospel message. We are all sinners, each of us. Our neighbours don't set the bar of goodness, Jesus does. Perfection is the bar, and I know I'm far below that bar. The perfection of Jesus covers our imperfections, if we ask Him for it. Our hope rests in that, He is who He says He is, and He did what He set out to do. Through His death and resurrection, He paid the price for our sin.

Trust Him. Joanie did, her life was changed forever.

Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one. John 10:25-30
